iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review
This vacuum isn't scared to take on the stairs, unlike others. Like any mop or vacuum, it is susceptible to getting blocked by particles, like tennis shoes, thread, jewelry or other loose objects.
The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms and even create zones that are not allowed to enter. It also lets you track the progress of your mops and their battery status.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo j7+ is a robot vacuum and mop that combines smart mapping capabilities of iRobot along with the ability to deal with spills. It uses the same onboard acoustic sensors and iAdapt 2.0 navigation that are used in other Roomba options and maps your home 7 times faster than earlier models. It also allows you to set Keep Out Zones (for rooms that the robot is not allowed to enter) and Clean Zones (for rooms it should be able to clean).
The most notable feature of the j7 is its robotic arm which keeps the mop pad hidden away when it's not in use and lowers it to tackle carpeting or hard floors. In my tests, the Combo J7+ did a great job at avoiding water spraying on the rug. The robot was not able to cross the rug, even after I moved it around several times.
The arm has a 240mL tank which can be easily pulled out and filled, so it's more manageable than the mop pads of many other 2-in-1 robots. It also uses iRobot's PrevisionVision technology to avoid obstacles, which is more advanced than other models of this kind.
iRobot Combo i5
The machine is designed to be used for mopping and vacuuming with the same machine, this is a top option for those who are multitaskers. The vacuuming process is performed with a specially designed bin that can hold up 60 days' worth of debris, which iRobot claims reduces the amount of dust re-released into the air during the process. The i5+ also comes with dual multi-surface rubber brushes as well as Power-Lifting Suction to tackle dirt, dust, pet hair and dirt on hard floors. When you're ready to mop, simply switch in the Mopping Bin and a compatible cleaning solution.
The i5+ runs iRobot OS and gets smarter the more you use it. It creates a Smart Map, which remembers the names of rooms as well as your preferences for cleaning. The iRobot App lets you set a schedule or direct the robot to clean a certain room.

iRobot Combo i3
The iRobot Combo i3 has been updated from the original Roomba i3. It still comes with a HEPA-filter to remove allergens, and the same excellent external dust compartment, but it now supports smart mapping. This means that you can designate no-go zones to stop it from vacuuming those areas again. The i3 Plus still has a number of other great features too like its advanced cleaning system that has a 10x power-lifting suction and a three-stage process for cleaning. It also has a textured surface to keep away fingerprints, dust and pet hair.
It is able to clean most debris and is great on bare flooring, but had trouble with pet hair on low-pile carpets. It is quieter and does an excellent job on high pile carpets. The i3 costs a bit more than the Roborock S4 Max, but it comes with a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads, and then refills the water reservoir.
With the i3 app, you can create schedules to clean at a specific time to suit your requirements. You can also make use of your voice assistant to control your robot and begin or stop the cleaning. It also tracks the unique floor plan of your home to provide a personalized schedule and cleaning routines.
